Party Time (MCS Drama)

By | Published on Wednesday 22 August 2012

In true Pinter style, Party Time compels the audience to become detectives and piece together what is really underlying the façade of mundane, middle class, socialite society. Class and social justice are examined here, though if you’re not familiar with the play, I’d recommend reading the programme before it starts to help you navigate this show a little better. It was theatrically pleasing, with choreographed dance transitions, executed with precision and style, set to a pleasant soundtrack of music from the fifties. A lot of work has clearly gone into the character development, which created some moments of hilarity. For a young cast of sixth formers, this was an impressively executed piece of theatre.
