One Man Star Wars Trilogy (Charles Ross)

By | Published on Friday 24 August 2012

Charles Ross’s exceptional acting talent and blatant unbridled passion for the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy shines like C3PO’s gold plated anatomy. I was asking myself before the show how effectively (half) an entire franchise of films could be reassembled on-stage by a single man and as it turns out, very. His rigour in covering all important dimensions of the plot, whilst ensuring to retain all famous lines, has the audience revelling in the magnificence of the story and laughing out loud throughout. His immaculate, creative movement perfectly resembles pivotal characters. Ross’ impersonations and noises mirror the films brilliantly to hilarious effect. Occasionally he breaks character to point out something deadly amusing. A splendid performance – I only wish he’d do all six.
