ED2012 4/5 Reviews ED2012 Theatre Reviews
Love All (CheeryWild / Ten42)

Jolly tennis rackets, romance, murder and giggles. This is old fashioned British-style theatre at its best: the tragic tale of Irish tennis legend Vere St Ledger Goold will have you reaching for the strawberries and cream. Told with gusto by Aideen Wylde and Tadhg Hickey and set in a time before women’s suffrage, Ms Wylde certainly gets my vote as she carries most of the piece with aplomb. Veering wildly from japes to heartache, the actors make the most of the props and their elastic faces. As the tale unravels so does the off-stage relationship between the two actors, leading to a sweet sub-plot. This show will win you over game, set and match.
