Couleur Cafe
By Ella Fryer-Smith | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
‘Couleur Cafe’ is a dining experience aiming to explore eroticism, food and puns: on arrival, you are welcomed by waitresses and an aperitif, into a room filled with random artefacts, instruments and artworks that the ‘audience’ are to interact with. Inspired by the music of Serge Gainsbourg, this experience sees you treated to four courses of French cuisine, or ‘edible sculptures’, and encouraged to engage with the multi-sensory environment around you. It’s strange what happens when you are given permission to break the rules and play with your food! This experience will vary depending on who else turns up for dinner and the time of day you choose to go, but is well worth checking out; an experience.
