All The Things I Never Said (Z Theatre Company)

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

Seemingly plunging a stab into the back of every self-righteous person the company has ever met, the show aims to provide an insider glance into the mind of the victim. The concept is simple, the cast showing paper to the audience to signify inner turmoil in a production which feels raw and responsive to real life scenarios, and cuts that much deeper for it. Skits run on from each other, often centring around a train platform which is a surprising theatrical haven but it works nicely. There was no clear narrative, though, and the show feels more like a venting of young frustration than a concerted theatrical work. Still, the cast are strong and likeable, and the concept is interesting.
