ED2012 3/5 Reviews ED2012 Theatre Reviews
30 Days To Edinburgh (Bootworks Theater)
By Katie Cunningham | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Three men set out together to walk from the bottom of England to Edinburgh in time to put on a play about it for the Fringe. This doesn’t come over like a show made for the public. Indirectly and directly stated throughout, the focus seemed to be to entertain the family and friends of the men performing. So there are in jokes, personal moments and, basically, things that not everyone will be able to get. They started without stating why exactly they were doing what they did; they didn’t introduce themselves to us as characters, so there wasn’t much to care about either. That said, once the actual story had started it improved – after all, everyone can relate to jokes about being miserable in the rain.
