Former ThreeWeeks cover star and Fringe favourite Jim Jeffries may be about to embark on a new 13-part sitcom for American TV, but that’s not stopping him returning to Edinburgh to take over the Assembly Hall with his show ‘Fully Functional’ this August.

Nor has it stopped him tackling the ThreeWeeks Quick Quiz. Well, all except the wanky question.

TW: Tell us about your 2012 show in no more than 60 words.
JJ: Go see it! If you’ve never seen me before, I’d highly recommend you going to see someone that’s on telly… Oh you already are. Good!

TW: Tell us about another show or performer you’re looking forward to seeing this year.
JJ: I have no idea who is going to the Festival this year except Andrew Maxwell (at Assembly George Square)… So go see him… He’s always good!

TW: How will you be preparing for the Fringe this year?
JJ: I have been performing this hour for the last four months so it’s in real good shape… I will also be doing a run of hour shows at the Montreal Comedy Festival, and that’s where my kidney will get a bit of a workout before I get to Edinburgh.

TW: What advice would you have for someone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
JJ: Punter or act? If it’s a punter – go and see as many shows as you can! As for an act… I have no advice – they’ll only do what they want to do anyway, and call me a cunt for giving them advice.

TW: If your show was an Olympic sport, what would it be and why?
JJ: What a wanky question… I don’t give a flying fuck about the Olympics. Who does? You? Really? Wanker!
