Dream Or Not? (Visual Virus)
By Lucinda Al-Zoghbi | Published on Wednesday 22 August 2012
British Sign Language and graphic mime combine in this theatrical ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’. These three stories look at how we think when we’re only thinking about that one intimate, important activity. Two men begin by acting out their deepest sexual desires in front of a lady in red; hard and fast, slow and sensual, she is most certainly spoilt for choice. The sexual tension is heightened by cross-cutting from one man to the other before reaching an almighty climax, but this becomes predictable and, after a while, slightly tiresome. Grossly amusing, brash and bawdy, Visual Virus’ play without words transcends linguistic/hearing impairments through the language of love and, dream or not, it seems to hit the spot.
