ED2012 3/5 Reviews ED2012 Musical Reviews
Little Shop Of Horrors (ArtsOne)
By Rachel Campbell | Published on Sunday 12 August 2012
It’s easy to expect the worst of a youthful ensemble, but the young cast in this version of ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ pulled off a great show. Starring the infamous bloodthirsty plant, this musical is great fun and will keep all ages perfectly entertained. The actors did hit a few bum notes, and singing from some was a little growly, but with a good live band providing music not much else could be faulted musically, especially not with regard to the starring plant, Audrey 2. The dance routines could have done with some neatening up, but they weren’t a disaster, and the space was used to its full advantage. ArtsOne manage to create the perfect atmosphere for a family show.
Greenside, 1-10 Aug (not 6), 11.40am.
