Tim Roast’s Animals – Free (Tim Roast / Free Festival)
By Andy Leask | Published on Sunday 12 August 2012
Attention BBC Three producers! I have found your latest star, in the unassuming form of Tim Roast. Sadly, I can’t see him fronting any award winning sketch shows. Rather, I envisage a fascinating, heartbreaking documentary about this socially awkward, comically inept little man, who has inexplicably chosen to pursue a career in comedy, despite having no skill in the field, whatsoever. I didn’t laugh once, and I have some bad news for Tim, too: the drunken family were laughing at you, not your material. I don’t want to be cruel: well done for trying something you clearly find uncomfortable, but please, please trust me, Tim: comedy is not for you.
Laughing Horse @ Edinburgh City Football Club, 3-26 Aug (not 15), 8.30pm.
