The Tourists

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

‘The Tourists’ was funny. Which was a relief, and a welcome change, given I seem to have managed to see mainly the poorer shows in free show strands this year. The set consisted of a series of sketches, ranging from one about John Bon Jovi’s ‘Clap Clinic’ to a conversation between Zeus and Winnie the Pooh, with a few running gags, including one about Pouch the stripping detective which was as random as it sounds. Throughout, the material was inventive, each sketch was genuinely funny and sometimes they were hilarious. ‘The Tourists’ is definitely not at the forefront of intellectual comedy but if you happened to be looking for a laugh, this quirky and quick witted sketch show was a great way to spend an hour.
