The Tim Vine Chat Show (Bound and Gagged Comedy)
By Kirsten Waller | Published on Friday 24 August 2012
Tim Vine bounds on stage with the energy of a toddler, and doesn’t stop moving after that. An ”old-fashioned” joke teller, Vine delivers pun after groaning pun; and while some are more effective than others, it cannot be denied that he is extremely good at what he does. He has the audience in the palm of his hand, and the chat show format demonstrates his equally quick-witted ability when delivering off-the-cuff remarks. However, the punters are also allowed a chances to shine particularly a 10-year-old master of the slapstick trip. A sense of good humour hangs in the air long after the curtain has gone down.
Pleasance Courtyard, 2-27 Aug, 1.45pm.
