Sandi Toksvig Live – My Valentine
By Anna McDonald | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Emerging to the triumphant sounds of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Sandi Toksvig declares that this show is indeed her very own “Ode to Joy” of her life. And what a life it has been. From being present at the launch of the Apollo Eleven mission to canoeing across Africa, Toksvig shares all the little bits of inspiration that have led her to where she is today and all the things that have changed in her life since her first Fringe appearance thirty-four years ago. Toksvig is bursting with charisma and her storytelling, combined with interesting little pieces of trivia, is both eloquent and hilarious in equal measure. As enlightening as it is entertaining, this show really is a joy.
Pleasance Courtyard, 17-23 Aug, 2.00pm.
