Richard Wiseman – Psychobabble (Richard Wiseman / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Anna McDonald | Published on Friday 24 August 2012
Ever wondered how a magician can read your mind, correctly pick your card out from a deck or convince you that they can make objects disappear and reappear in front of your very eyes? Wonder no more. In ‘Psychobabble’, psychologist Richard Wiseman demonstrates the rather clever trickery of the mind that allows us to be convinced by magicians, by deconstructing the psychology behind some favourite magic tricks. His show may be about magic but Wiseman could definitely have a career as a stand up; his presentation is very funny and very entertaining. The audience are a big part of the show, acting as guinea pigs in the various explanations and even learning a trick or two!
