Plenty More Fish (But I Don’t Have A Fish Fetish) (Accident And Emergency / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Lisa Clarkson | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Two Irish girls, a guitar, a pad full of doodles and a can of Lidl’s own brand deodorant are among the props and treats in ‘Plenty More Fish’ (and there are also biscuits if that turns you on). It’s a muddle of songs and naughty tales, some funnier than others – luckily, every song is gloriously bawdy enough to make up for the Nazi jokes. Perpetuating the supposed need for explanation of Irish vernacular banter (I’m Scottish, so I know what it’s like) the girls even supply us with a useful glossary of terms such as ‘ride’, ‘craic’ and of course that ever affectionate ‘hooer’; handy – as well as hilarious. Go and see them just for the biscuit song.
