Liam And Owen – A Cracking One Off Show! (Liam Withnail And Owen McGuire)
By Joseph Fleming | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
If you were ever to find yourself wandering drunkenly along the Grassmarket late one night, penniless and bereft of entertainment, this type of show might be an acceptable diversion. You won’t be demanding the duo’s autographs afterwards, or remember their punchlines for months to come, but they /will pass the time agreeably before you stagger home. Amusing highlights included Liam’s comparison between Edinburgh and a level in a Super Mario video game, and Owen’s take on the difficulties of rearing the habitually disappearing character Wally. The pair’s concise observations were an ideal length for this tired, inebriated audience. However, if you prefer humour that requires greater concentration and intellect, I would recommend giving this decent but unsophisticated show a wide berth.
