Late Night Gimp Fight (Phil McIntyre Management)
By Hannah Sweetnam | Published on Thursday 23 August 2012
Vile, vulgar and actually quite funny, this uncouth sketch show is extremely subjective and showcases some of the cruder moments of comedy. When the gimps manage to keep their clothes on, their humorous take on explicit topics entertained spectacularly and had the audience doubled up. However, I’m not sure whether this was from laughter or disgust. Clever use of video helped to disguise some of the weaker sketches and the multimedia element was the driving force throughout the show, using skits featuring a gimp superimposed into famous film scenes. Although funny, this jizztastic gimp-fest was often too extreme, but if a dancing naked gimp is your thing, this might be for you.
Pleasance Courtyard, 12-27 Aug (not 14), 10.00pm.
