Kevin Tomlinson – Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Kepow Theatre Company)

By | Published on Friday 24 August 2012

This improvised sketch show is a treat for all involved, and the audience members play an important role, both in suggesting ideas for the acts and in getting on stage to join in. Kevin Tomlinson slips into different roles easily, hamming it up with outrageous costumes and masks. Every sketch is more hilarious than the last and it’s easy for everyone in the audience to relate to; it wasn’t long before people were shouting ideas at the stage and volunteering to help out. Particularly amusing was the Barbie and Ken love story, based on the life of a couple in the audience, and the blind date sketch with Abi Hood. A show that is fluffy but fun, highly recommended.

Just The Tonic at The Caves, 2-26 Aug (even dates only, not 14), 3.20pm.
