Just The Tonic Comedy Club’s Midnight Show (Just The Tonic)
By Hannah Sweetnam | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Compère Danny McLoughlin confidently took to the stage to introduce one of the best line-ups you could wish for at a late night comedy showcase. Dealing well with slightly annoying drunken hecklers and bouncing off audience banter, the crude comic took the piss out of everyone, dropping the c-bomb almost as soon as he stepped foot on stage; this was not for the easily offended, but what late-night comedy gig is? With side-splittingly funny sets from biscuit-crime hating Paul McCaffrey, knitwear rude-boy Dan Nightingale, observational sensation Seann Walsh and self-proclaimed young Rolf Harris look-a-like Carl Donnelly, the line-up had the audience howling with material from drunken toilet hugging to Moonpig fisticuffs, and no-one left disappointed.
Just the Tonic at The Caves, 3-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25 Aug, 12.00am.
