Joe Lycett – Some Lycett Hot (Chambers Management)
By Lauren Simpson | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Joe Lycett is an animal-hating hypochondriac – by his own admission – though that doesn’t stop him from having his audience in hysterics; making you feel comfortable right from the off with his soft Brummie accent and camp demeanour. A high point is when he recounts writing a letter to Birmingham City Council about a parking ticket he’d received, claiming an orphan would die if they did not revoke the charge (the story made the local news), while his description of personal trainer Clive winding up estate agent Cluttons on Twitter by sending them name-based innuendo messages brought more hilarious moments to the table. Maintaining his momentum throughout, Lycett is definitely one to watch out for this year.
