Jimeoin – What?! (MZA and Geffer Notice Productions)
By Lauren Houghton | Published on Friday 24 August 2012
A confident and self-assured performer, Jimeoin needs no gimmicks or props, he simply comes on, grins at us, says a few words, and the audience are in fits of laughter. Taking everyday occurrences and turning them into jokes, he has a very calm demeanour, and, allowing himself to go off on tangents, he often appears to drift from the script, carried along by the audience’s response. Jimeoin likes to take his time over jokes, speaking at a slower pace and with less excitement than most comedians I’ve seen at the Fringe, yet his audiences lap it up. He doesn’t need to resort to crudeness or cliché, simply telling things as he sees them, and it’s a great laugh.
Venue 150 @ EICC, 2-20, 25, 26 Aug, 6.00pm.
