Gadd And Winning – Well, This Is Awkwarder
By Anna McDonald | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Scottish upstarts Matt Winning and Richard Gadd provide a fun-filled hour of slightly surreal comedy in ‘Well, This is Awkwarder’. Winning starts things off, armed with a number of good old-fashioned jokes and the memoirs of a certain Robert Mugabe. While his content is very funny, sometimes the delivery is a little off: beware those sitting in the front row if you want to leave with your hearing intact. Gadd follows this with a hilarious re-enactment of a recent traumatic break-up with some help from the audience, a belt and a gimp mask. It appeared that Gadd has a slight edge with his ability to win over the audience, but the juxtaposition of styles made this show well worth watching.
