Eric Hutton – Every Other Show In The Fringe Sucks
By Joseph Trotter | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
There’s something likeable about Eric Hutton. Despite the fact that arguably the best laughs of the night came from his support act Tim, Hutton seems a decent guy, and his show is decent too. I think there were jokes about children, food, aliens, lesbian dogs, something; but it was hard to tell due to Hutton’s unfortunate tendency to ramble and mutter, something he himself mocks. If you turned your ears off for a second it was like being in a different show, and not in a good way. Although the set had its moments, one gets the feeling that both Hutton’s performance and material desperately need to find an edge before he can really take off.
Laughing Horse @ The Counting House, 2-26 Aug, 11.00pm.
