Dirty Thirties (Lady Melville And Rosie Rebel)

By | Published on Wednesday 15 August 2012

Quite why Rosie and Erin thought a show themed around the high esteem they hold each other in would qualify as entertainment is beyond me. Thankfully their initially much-emphasised bond didn’t extend into an hour’s worth of sycophantic love-in. Instead, we were treated to each dirty thirty-year-old doing short bursts of their acts in alternation. Erin (who is also Lady Melville, the how and why never being established) did some sadly uninspired stand-up. Rosie Rebel was slightly better, proving herself a natural clown in her twisted Lady Gaga-esque finale and definitely having enough comic timing to raise some laughs. But ultimately it wasn’t enough to distract from the pair’s material, which never veered far from tedious.
