Daniel Sloss – The Show (MZA And Get Slossed Productions Ltd)
By David O’Connor | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Daniel Sloss constantly professes not to care about politics; old people; friends; opinions or anything really. After around fifteen minutes of being assured of this, it becomes extremely hard to care about anything he has to say, and the routine becomes stale. However, this element is a low point in an otherwise entertaining performance from Sloss in his aptly named show, The Show. He describes it as being “darker” than his previous performances and, while it certainly isn’t dark, he does (light-heartedly) tackle some grown-up subjects ranging from sexual health to leaving home. And he’s had a haircut. Though it isn’t a thought provoking or life changing performance, it is, for the most part, funny.
Venue 150 @ EICC, 2-26 Aug (not 22), 6.30pm.
