Chris Stokes – An Opera Written On Napkins (Fluid Thinking)
By Simon Thornton | Published on Sunday 12 August 2012
‘An Opera Written On Napkins’ may be Chris Stokes’ Edinburgh debut but it is by no means a paper dream… Having felt isolated most of his life, the self-confessed nerd wins the audience over with tales of his geekish antics and their consequences. This is interspersed with his Grandmother’s wacky wise words which formed the premise of the show. As the show progresses, the humour does increase in bawdiness, culminating in a hilarious anecdote about an encounter with a rather randy tramp that will have you in stitches. This show is a true gem and is definitely one to look out for during this year’s fringe. Encore please.
Pleasance Courtyard, 1 -27 Aug (not 14), 5.45pm.
