Chris Henry – We Need to Talk!

Chris Henry embodies negativity in his ‘comedic’ performance of ‘We Need to Talk’. Spewing on about tales of love and jobs lost, Henry’s entire set is full of complaint, bitterness, and the harsh realities of failure, which would have been acceptable if it was actually funny as well. There were only a few shining moments in amongst jokes about the ease of Rohypnol, and an off-colour peice about Joseph Fritzl. Henry’s unabashed humour is rough around the edges, but the performance itself did retain a common theme of ‘we need to talk’ moments, some of which were chuckle-worthy; however, the majority of Henry’s act relied on the shock factor, which doesn’t necessarily create a good performance.
