ED2012 1/5 Reviews ED2012 Comedy Reviews

Cammy’s Teatime (Cammy Sinclair)

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

It all began with a heckle from a pre-teen: “You’re not a comedian!” Witnessing Cammy’s hour-long on-stage death, I wasn’t sure if he was having an actual nervous breakdown or if it was part of the bizarre adult-clown act. Trying to save face in front of the crowd, he wrote on pita breads and made a poor attempt at mime. A brief reprieve came as the young girl was removed from the audience and he could sing his dirty folk songs. It is fringe lore that a one-star review can do wonders for a comedian, drawing in curious rubber-neckers just waiting to see someone fail. Use this one wisely, Cammy.
