Britain’s Got F*ck All Talent! (Flick Ma Beens)
By Joe Mountford-Smith | Published on Sunday 12 August 2012
A deliberately ludicrous parody of a deliberately ludicrous talent show; in this series of performances Britain’s got fuck all talent – but some amusing characters at least. The ‘competition’ is presented by Liam Withnail, who has an assured stage presence and jokes with several members of the audience in a hilarious and graceful manner. Various ‘contestants’ in the show are then introduced, played by Matthew Ellis. His jokes aren’t intelligent but his acts make up for in physicality and enthusiasm what they lack in thought. A range of accents and ridiculous dress up get plenty of laughs. I wouldn’t recommend sitting anywhere near the front row if you don’t like interaction, but see this if you just feel like some silliness.
