Bristol Improv For Hire (Bristol Improv / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Conor Riordan | Published on Thursday 16 August 2012
If you don’t know what to expect from this group, don’t worry: neither do they. This isn’t your standard ‘Whose Line’ type improv show, though one could say they’ve taken one ‘game’ and pushed it to the limit, as the company stage a number of job interviews for roles chosen by their audience. For the most part these improvisers prove to be good candidates for the position; Dan Titmuss’ portrayal of a geek getting the job as an astronaut, was good (if not out of this world…) and Imogen Palmer held her performance together confidently, but although they deliver a smooth production, the show suffers a little from repetition – there is no need to go back over jokes that weren’t funny the first time.
WhyNot?, 4-25 (not 7, 14, 21) Aug, 3.00pm.
