Art Of Procrastination (UCLU Comedy Club)
By Joseph Trotter | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Let’s be honest with ourselves for a second, many university revues are bloody awful. Yes, even yours. As such, it came as a surprise to me that University College London’s comedy revue, ‘Art Of Procrastination’, is not only entertaining but, dare I say it, genuinely funny. Centred on the origins of a humanity-threatening outbreak of laser-eyed mice, the madcap story helps to anchor the action, offering a focus and cohesion to the sketches instead of a series of barely-related scenarios. These sketches are generally more hit than miss, with the life-narrators, phone-dancing and ‘University Challenge’ pieces working particularly well, all performed admirably by a talented, comedic cast. A very pleasant surprise indeed.
