Macbeth (Little Shakespeare Theatre School)
By Bethanie Pochin | Published on Friday 17 August 2012
This was a very respectable performance by young actors, who tackled a challenging play with accomplished style. With the boys clad in kilts, and the sound of bagpipes closing the show, this performance was true to its setting, succeeding in creating a very Scottish vibe. The adaptation combined Shakespearean and modern language so it managed to be contemporary without losing the classic feel. Every performer had their own charms and fell convincingly into their characters, with the actor playing Macbeth proving himself as an especially talented actor, excelling in scenes of struggle and anguish. Slick, fun, yet successfully sustaining the dark side of the Scottish Play, these performers did themselves proud.
