The Scotsman Best Of The Fest (Assembly)
By Kate Lister | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
I suppose when you go to see something entitled ‘The Best Of The Fest’, you would hope that you’re running on pretty safe ground. Well, today marked the start of a beautiful, trusting relationship between The Scotsman and me, because they didn’t half deliver. From the rousing beats of ‘Korean Drum’, to the ridiculous antics of ‘The Boy With Tape On His Face’, I lapped up the diverse array of Festival stars that were flung onto the fabulous Spiegeltent stage, all neatly topped and tailed by brilliant comedy compering from Jason Cook. A wonderful way to sample the excellent things this festival can offer; get your tickets for next week now.
Assembly George Square, 8, 15, 22 Aug, 1.00pm (2.30pm), £10.00 – £12.00, fpp295.
