The Thundering Herd
By Kathryn Moore | Published on Sunday 28 August 2011
The Thundering Herd are a well-polished and extremely talented bunch of young musicians from Farleigh School. They may be small but they can play; with poise, they tackle some enormous tunes from a variety of classics, such as ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘Sing Sing Sing’ and ‘One O’Clock Jump’. The songs have been selected to give each section – bass, percussion and rhythm – their time to shine. Not only will you be tapping away to their music, but their feet will join in, too: it’s easy to see they enjoy playing the music as much as the audience likes listening to it. It’s thrilling to see such young talent and their show is something everyone will enjoy.
Pleasance Courtyard, 24 – 25 Aug, 12.00pm (12.45pm), £5.00, fpp221.
