Jazz At Lunchtime (Ian Millar And Dominic Spencer)

Stepping out of the crowds into the softly-lit haven of the Radisson Blu Hotel’s subterranean bar is an instant relief. In this lunchtime taster, Ian Millar (on saxophone) and Dominic Spencer (on piano) offer a unique blend of auditory and visual escapism called ‘Jazz and Landscape’. The show is a range of jazz ‘standards’ and originals accompanied by footage of various remote Scottish locations to which they have toured. The effect is dreamily absorbing and only slightly disturbed by the amateurish ‘Jazz and Landscape’ title page which pops up from time to time. Order a spot of lunch or a G&T if you like, but the time will pass quickly with such arresting fare.
