Totally Tom (Curtis Brown)
By Emily Carson | Published on Saturday 27 August 2011
These two performers are commonly known as the brains behind the YouTube sensation ‘High Renaissance Man’ but this show proves they have far more to offer. Taking you through a voyage of time and nationality, this pair perform a series of brilliant sketches varying from Skins set in Nazi Germany to a meta-Shakespearean play. Using next to no props and exuding energy throughout every moment, it’s easy to become completely immersed in their obnoxious ClubMed routine or their seedy gentleman’s club. There are only one or two places where the material doesn’t quite live up to the pair’s excellent standard, but performances are extremely well executed throughout and it’s clear that they will enjoy a successful run.
