Spaghetti Lolognaise – Free (Adam Tempest / Free Festival)
By Jennifer Ajderian | Published on Tuesday 30 August 2011
The problem with sharing precious stage-time with another comedian is that the gap between the two will often let energy seep out, which is worse still when there is little energy to start with. By sharing his stage with a compère, Adam Tempest gives himself very little time to wow us, allowing his jokes to dribble into silence. When he gets into his stride and allows himself to ad-lib, he is genuinely funny, but the more rehearsed anecdotes come out too quickly or too softly. With a few more actual jokes and a little less reliance on the audience having hilarious jobs, Tempest could move onto greater things, but for now the ‘Lolognaise’ isn’t quite warm through.
