Worlds Collide (Robin and Partridge)
By Eleanor Pender | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Worlds certainly collide in this unique and well-titled show. In ringmaster style jackets and heeled boots, Robin and Partridge trot onto the stage offering a bundle of physical comedy and theatrical tomfoolery in sketches assisted by an overhead projector. Robin wows the audience with the business acumen of his alter ego, Jeremy, who is led to the freedom of the countryside by his subconscious spirit guide, Freaky Dave – this story is one of many mini anecdotes the two dish up. Audience participation plays a vital role in the entertaining and innovative finale to a charmingly original show of big feather masks, a cleansing ritual, and beat boxing that is sure to leave you laughing.
Pleasance Courtyard, 3 – 29 Aug (not 10, 17), 10.45pm (11.45pm), £6.00 – £9.00, fpp142.
