Rayguns Look Real Enough: Balls Deep (Emily Gough for Something For The Weekend Presents)
By Felicity Martin | Published on Saturday 27 August 2011
One half of Rayguns Look Real Enough consists of a Noel Fielding-alike nonchalantly strumming a guitar. The other, curiously, is an overweight man in a lycra cat suit shaking a tambourine seductively, who actually believes he’s a lactose intolerant tiger. My eyes already satisfied, my ears were in for a treat: the unlikely duo is musically talented, as proven by their hysterical ability to seamlessly blend The Cure with Alesha Dixon, Europe with T-Pain. An exuberant pair; their thoroughly entertaining and toe-tapping routine featured a rap battle, which was easily won by a guest comedian who recited the plot of A Tale of Two Cities. Watch as this unique band release the tiger: a grrrrrreat performance.
