Nothing To Show (Watch This Theatre Company)
By Felicity Martin | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Would you choose to go and see a show with no characters, no plot and no script? Probably not, but allow ‘Nothing To Show’ to create a spectacularly original performance before your eyes. Using an audience-generated word, the six-person cast act out your fantasies. With the word ‘scream’, they quickly envisaged an Edvard Munch character, along with a manic librarian, a hysterical audiobook narrator, and a crime-fighting duo in Victorian England. The way in which these characters came together was especially brilliant – they actors are eager to have fun with the process and constantly remind the audience that this is an improv show – they jokingly question what they are doing in a truly endearing fashion. Come prepared with a good word.
