Keith Farnan: Money, Money, Money (Keith Farnan)

By | Published on Saturday 27 August 2011

Do not be fooled into thinking that a show focused on finance and performed by an ex-lawyer will be dull. Never before have economists, tax avoidance or the Euro Zone crisis been so raucously hilarious. Farnan is utterly charming throughout, high-fiveing the entire front row and regaling us with a variety of witty anecdotes, including an occasion when he was upstaged by a moth. In addition to his prodigious comic skill, Farnan comes across as an intelligent and genuinely lovely person, plus every audience member walks away with a gift of (plastic) pirate gold. I only hope that a slightly risqué joke about Protestants doesn’t get him into trouble in Glasgow – the stand-up scene would be infinitely poorer for his loss.

Underbelly, 4 – 28 Aug (not 16), 6.20pm (7.20pm), £8.00 – £10.50, fpp104.
