Chat Masala With Hardeep Singh Kohli (Hardeep Singh Kohli – Festival Highlights)
By Nina Glencross | Published on Sunday 14 August 2011
Donning his signature pink turban, Hardeep Singh Kohli delivers a comedy chat show with just as many different aspects and ingredients as the pork masala he cooks up on stage. Inviting ‘How Not To Live Your Life’ star Dan Clark and Fringe ‘Loose Women’ writer Tim Fountain on set, Kohli creates a very relaxed atmosphere, chatting away with his studio guests as if they were actually sitting in his own kitchen at home. Samples of his freshly cooked curry are dished out, accompanied by a chutney made using a range of secret ingredients chosen by audience members. This show is as warm and versatile as the dishes Kohli creates, and the audience tucks in with gusto.
Gilded Balloon Teviot, 3 – 28 Aug, times vary, £10.00 – £12.00, fpp56.
