BBC Comedy Presents – Early And Late (BBC Comedy)
By Maryam Ansari | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
With a different line-up of comedians every day, this performance is very unlikely to disappoint. The grand finale on the 27th captured all aspects of Festival frenzy on stage, including mime, ventriloquism, eccentric song and dance numbers, human beat-boxing, nudity (you heard me), audience participation and good old-fashioned stand-up. A pint might have helped to wear off the shock initially, but was not a necessity as the audience seemed more than willing to join in the euphoria. Check out the BBC next year for equally crazy and priceless experiences. Those of us who attended may concede, I think, that it may not have been the funniest night of our lives, but it was certainly a night to remember.
BBC at Potterrow, 13 – 27 Aug, times vary, £10.00, fpp44.
