Pasta! Macaroni Puppet’s Show (Placedumarche)

By | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011

‘Pasta! Macaroni Puppet’s Show’ consists of bits of pasta stuck to some wire being waved about in a seemingly random manner – perplexing stuff. Most of the pasta is too small to see, the production values are abysmal and a lot of it just doesn’t make any sense. The lack of any coherent stories and the drab yellow colour of pasta means there’s not much to grab a child’s interest. After twenty minutes, one child blurted out, “I want to go now,” and I’m surprised he even lasted that long. It is difficult to write this because the cast seem like genuinely lovely people but unfortunately this is a truly terrible show.
