Baby Loves Singing, Dancing And You! (Melissa Western Aka Mumma Melly)

This small, intimate workshop is designed to teach parents to relax and have fun while singing to their babies. Parents and wee ones are made to feel right at home – the dedicated changing area is a particularly thoughtful touch. Tuneful and confident, but still inclusive, Melissa Western has all of us singing and dancing within minutes – even me and my rather shy two year old. It’s worth noting, though, that as Melissa is Australian she sometimes sings different nursery rhyme lyrics than an Edinburgh audience might expect, which can – for some – seem a little awkward. Still, the babies evidently had a great time with lots of delighted gurgles and not a single wail, and that’s what counts.
