A Stone’s Throw (Student Theatre At Glasgow – STaG)

By | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011

From perilous sea voyages to treks through scorching deserts, the girl deemed single-handedly responsible for shattering the sun travels the world on a quest to piece it back together. Coming across an array of intriguing characters and magical creatures, the adventure becomes more and more exhilarating as we are taken along with her. Though the relatively small performance space may have posed a challenge or restriction on the show’s success, this was admirably superseded by the energetic cast, who made do with what they had, intertwining storytelling with theatre, visuals and puppetry to full effect. Instances of humour also allowed for a light and animated mood to predominate throughout the entire show, making it indeed suitable for all ages.

Zoo Roxy, 5 – 20 Aug, 11.30am (12.15pm), £4.00 – £7.00, fpp29.
