This show is a follow up to a sell-out debut run last year for experimental comedian Courtney Buchner. And she’s once again bold enough to push the boundaries and test the audience’s trust. Back with a fresh bout of honesty vs comedy explored in a new way, the comedian is charismatic and has a genuine rapport with the audience as she shares her stories about growing up in South Africa, coming out, parental rivalry, wedding planning and being neurospicy – all told in her offbeat storytelling style. This is sharp, very funny in places and Buchner is a star in the making. Some of the stories, though, could do with being a bit more incisive, and the concept needs a little fine-tuning.
