COVERING THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL SINCE 1996
Comedian roundtables at the Edinburgh Fringe

CALLING ALL COMEDIANS: SHARE YOUR OPINIONS AT OUR ROUNDTABLES NEXT WEEK
This year at the Edinburgh Festival, TW:Backstage is running a series of private roundtable discussions with comedians who are performing at the Festival this year, to discuss the challenges of staging shows at the Fringe, and to delve into how comedians build a career and a business around their comedy, how they make money, and what partners and platforms add value along the way.
The conversations will inform a guide to the comedy business that we are developing and will publish later this year. We’ll also publish a round up of the Fringe elements of the discussion later this month, and share our wider findings with the comedy industry. However, we won’t directly quote anyone in these guides and articles without their permission – the sessions will comply with Chatham House Rules.
These roundtables are taking place in central Edinburgh each lunchtime this week. We are still looking for participants for the sessions on 13 and 15 Aug.
If you are a comedy performer who produces or performs comedy all year round, and makes at least some revenue from your comedy (it doesn’t have to be your main income stream), we would love to involve you in these sessions.
If you are interested in taking part, please fill in this very short form, tell us your name and what sessions you’d be available for. We’ll then be in touch by email.
APPLICATIONS TO TAKE PART ARE NOW CLOSED
