From the start to the end of this show, you’ll be riveted, and have a wheely good time… It’s a fast-paced ride that’s somewhat non-linear as it peddles through the life story of Australian cyclist Cadel Evans, focusing on his hopes of winning the famous Tour De France. It has the feel of an inspiring sports film translated to stage, and yet is simply just one man – creator and performer Connor Delves – and his bike; captivating but informing the audience with his vivid storytelling about the intense cycling world. The tech elements standout and further enhance this production, and actual footage of Cadel is used. Now, does this count as exercise for me…? I was just watching and I’m exhausted.
