If highly informative and ever-so-slightly nerdy comedy is the niche genre you’ve been looking for, this is the show for you! Supported by his trusty PowerPoint, Ben Miller’s hour of comedy focuses on his experience working as a stand-up comedian at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Scientific knowledge and witty humour come together to produce a surprisingly educational, distinctive, and endearingly awkward performance. Although the quick jumps between different topics and the wordy PowerPoint slides can make it difficult to keep up with the punchlines, he manages to get back on track each time. Head along for an engaging gig that cosplays as a funny science lecture and enjoy all your new volcano-based knowledge!

Just the Tonic at The Caves, until 25 Aug.
